Earthquake Story

Yesterday morning at 8:12 a.m. PDT, an earthquake struck, interrupting a normal Monday morning in the San Fransisco Bay area. This quake caused McHenry's Auto Supply at 2342 Plum St. to partially collapse, killing two and injuring 6, according to Jennifer Vu, a public information officer. The names of the victims are being withheld by families. Mike Beamer, a Hayward resident whose apartment is across the street from McHenry's, felt as if he were rolling for around 30 seconds. "I was eating my breakfast when the room started rolling. I dove under my table just as I heard an explosion outside and a chunk of cement flew through my kitchen window. That's when the screaming start across the street," said Beamer. Hayward firefighters stabilized the auto supply shop with ropes, then conducting a search of the building to cap a gas line after detecting the leak. The attack point of the earthquake was under Hayward Hills, with a magnitude of 6.4 on the Richter scale

My favorite photo was the one with Santa Clause playing a tenor saxophone. I personally play the alto saxophone so it is cool seeing some instruments.
