     Ashley Beranek is a student at Bowie High School who has been chosen as Student of the Month by her friends. She was chosen because she has very good grades in all of her classes and is an aspiring author.

     Student Ashley Beranek was chosen as Student of the Month by her friends. "We voted Ashley for Student of the Month because she has quick-witted intelligence," Ashley's friend Bailey Polston said. Ashley is very good with English, she writes most of her time. "I walked into Ashley's room and she was on her laptop writing up a storm," a statement from Ashley's mother, Aurora Beranek.
     Ashley Beranek used to do many activities, but now she focuses more on writing. "I used to dance, play oboe and piano, and somehow write in between all of that," said Ashley Beranek herself. She had to eventually quit dance, piano, and oboe because she wanted to focus on her writing. "We hesitated to take her out of dance, but she really wanted to fully focus on writing, she then quit piano and later oboe," said Ashley's father, Michael Beranek.
     Ashley really thrives in tech theater. "Ashley is probably one of my best students, she gets everything finished and puts her heart and soul into it," said Cortney Hall, her tech theater teacher. Ashley has a pug named Lady that she loves with all of her heart. "Ashley loves her pug more than I love sugar, and that's a lot," said one of her best friends Jade.
     "I will end up being on the New York Time's Best Seller list with my books," Ashley said.

Warm-up & Mural Project Planning

1. When I saw the first picture of the couple, I was happy, but as I scrolled through the pictures, I was slowly becoming more sad, until the end where I cried. 2. I think that when the photographer said, "These photographs do not define us, but they are us", I really thought about what he said. I realized that those photographs are who the wife was, since she is not alive anymore, and the husband was a different person in those photographs as well, and that is who they are and were. 3. I think that if I were in this situation I would be able to take photos of what is happening to see each stage of cancer and how they changed overtime. 4. If I could write Angelo a letter, I would not say "sorry for your loss" or anything like that, because I know that is not what he wants to hear. I would tell him that I respect his work a lot, and it really captured how cancer, and treatment hurts the human body.
