Part 1: self portrait vs. "selfie" In our world today, many people confuse the "selfie" and self portraits. A selfie is a photo taken of oneself by oneself, and is usually posted on social media websites. A self portrait is a photograph taken by the photographer of the photographer, it usually represents what they think of themselves. The difference between the two is that the selfie is for people who view the photo and the person who took it, while the self portrait is a piece of art. I personally prefer self portraits because they truly resemble how I, the photographer, feel in that very moment. Selfies are just quick poorly taken pictures while self portraits are clear and well taken photos. Self portraits are way more valuable than selfies because they are thought out, while selfies aren't valuable because not much thought is put into it.
